The 2023 AfroSport Summit has been scheduled for August 2-3 in Ghana’s capital of Accra.
The second edition following the inaugural event in 2022, AfroSport 2023 is set to bring together major stakeholders of the African sport value chain for a two-day gathering in a unique platform of an intersection between science and business for networking, advancing discussions, education, charting a path for sport development in Africa, among others, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Clubs, federations, leagues, athletes, coaches, businesses, media, academia, and distinguished personalities are expected to attend the event which will feature a congress, industry talks, expo, and a gala cocktail.
“We are excited to start counting down to another event following the success of 2022,” Prince Narkortu Teye, CEO of the African Sports Centre for Data, Research and Technology (ASC), organisers of the event, has stated.
“Our goal is to make AfroSport the No.1 gathering place of the African sport industry, and we are happy to see the event grow from a one-day event in 2022 to a two-day summit in 2023.
“We have keenly studied the first event and are focused on increasing the overall quality, experience and value, building on each edition.”
Championing this year’s event will be an advisory board of renowned sport industry individuals across Africa and beyond, the members set to be announced on February 16.
